The female lead is a full-time housewife who, one day, comes to the aid of the founder of the Shen Group after finding him collapsed by the roadside. Upon returning home, she is ordered by her husband to wait on his mistress and is subsequently shoved by her mother-in-law, causing her to miscarry on the spot. At the hospital, the head nurse on duty deliberately delays her treatment and coerces her into signing a divorce agreement that leaves her with nothing. Just as she is on the verge of losing consciousness, the son of the Shen Group's founder appears; she rises to become the head of the Shen Group, and the male lead becomes her fiancé. Meanwhile, her ex-husband and the "other woman" are plotting to curry favor with the Shen Group's incoming leader, completely unaware that the influential figure they are desperate to cozy up to is the very ex-wife he had once discarded like trash. At the banquet, the ex-husband and the mistress lose everything, while a far more sinister conspiracy begins to surface.
