Ruby Black, a scullery maid with superhuman strength, works for the corrupt Chancellor Henry Ashford. After he kills maids who try to seduce him, the steward hires Ruby with a warning: never share his bed. Two years later, Vindicated Ashford feigns drunkenness and tries to drag her to bed. Ruby refuses, at the cost of death.
