In the cold winter of 1990, unable to buy tickets to return home, Leo Lin and his fellow townsmen have no choice but to take a cheap sleeper bus. They unwittingly fall into a series of traps on the national highway. On the bus, scams are constant, and prices for goods in the wilderness are exorbitant. The driver conspires with unscrupulous vendors. Late at night, the bus drives into an enclosed, illicit shop, trapping all passengers in a desperate situation of being extorted.
