New York's secret elite club"Velvet House"holds people's secrets through binding contracts. Its blackmail dossier, the Velvet Ledger, conceals multiple deaths and dark capital conspiracies. Three intertwined revenge‑driven contract‑based stories unfold in parallel. A wealthy heir publicly kisses a down‑and‑out violinist at his wedding and enters a ten‑day fake‑marriage arrangement to investigate the truth behind his brother's murder. An investigative journalist hunted while searching for his missing brother is trapped inside a safe house with a guilt‑ridden bodyguard as the two test each other. A disgraced celebrity signs an image‑repair contract, only to turn the controllers' traps into weapons for public reckoning. Amid lies, surveillance and power plays, bonds form between the three male pairs. They piece together all evidence from the ledger and jointly expose the full criminal network of the high‑ranking elites during a charity live stream, setting up hints for season two.
