Alistair, a rigid elite lawyer, clashes with free-spirited artist Wilder over an art noise lawsuit. Their lives upend when five-year-old Piper, their daughter from 2030, time-travels to his sterile apartment with adoption papers. The meddling child handcuffs them together, forcing awkward cohabitation.
A time investigator hunts Piper, labeling her a timeline anomaly. As they bond, Alistair confronts his cruel wealthy family and crippling anxiety, comforted by Wilder’s warmth. Piper’s hacking ruins Alistair’s legal career, driving a bitter rift between the pair.
When time agents move to erase Piper, the two men unite to protect her. She fades away after revealing their future bitter split, leaving a painted wall as their lasting vow.
Four years later in 2030, the reconciled couple adopts Piper, closing the time loop of second chances and chosen family.
