Irene, a pureblood vampire maiden of the Vantrow family, yearns for the love of her family. Her mother, Grace, is the current head of the Vantrow family, holding all the clan's power and wealth in her hands.
After Irene uncovers that Belle is Victor's illegitimate daughter, the two conspire to cut out half of Irene's heart and inject her with Blood Venom. They fabricate the lie that Belle donated her heart to save Grace, when in reality, they transplanted Irene's pureblood heart into Grace's body. This not only stabilized Grace's life but also allowed Belle to gradually win Grace's trust as her savior.
With her life counting down, Irene repeatedly tries to explain the truth, only to be misunderstood and berated by her mother. Eventually, she is forced to donate her remaining half heart to Belle. Victor and Belle personally escort her to the operating table and cut out her last half heart with their own hands, leading to Irene's tragic death.
However, the bribed surgeon, tormented by a guilty conscience, exposes the entire truth, plunging Grace and Karen into endless remorse and utter collapse.
