Wang Defa lost his job and was forced to become a ride-hailing driver to make ends meet, while his daughter’s leukemia weighed heavily on him like a mountain. In the early hours of the morning, Wang Defa picked up a ride—a man and a woman who started getting intimate as soon as they got in the car. Unable to help himself, Wang Defa glanced over a few times and was shocked to discover that the female passenger was his missing wife, Li Wan. Li Wan, however, showed no concern, mocked Wang Defa, and claimed that everything she was doing was for their daughter.
