Thomas was critically injured. Natalie begged Alexander to send specialists, but he thought she was lying and transferred them all to give his mistress a checkup instead. Thomas died. Natalie set up a memorial. Alexander smashed the urn and burned the ashes. In despair, Natalie walked into the fire. She did not die. She secretly gathered evidence and brought Alexander to court. He was sentenced to 20 years. In prison, he killed himself after reading Thomas's college acceptance letter. Natalie left with Thomas's dreams, traveling the world.
