Shen Tao devoted half her life to her daughter, only to end up seen as a burden in her daughter’s family. By chance in Fenglin Park, she met Zhou Yuanping, and the two got married soon. She thought it was merely a compromise, never knowing he was a group director. Her son-in-law kept pestering them, which finally made Shen Meng see her husband’s true colors. With her mother’s support, Shen Meng chose to walk away. Mother and daughter stood side by side again. Through this seemingly hasty marriage, Shen Tao took back control of her own life. She also taught her daughter: A woman should never lose herself for anyone.
