Five Husbands, Same Man
Playable: 40 | Total DB: 40
The story takes place in modern-day Los Angeles. Noah Bennett runs a content company that produces romance novels, radio dramas and vertical short dramas; Damian Cross is the CEO of a commercial group known for being calm and assertive. The couple have been married for seven years, living a privileged and stable life, but have gradually lost the feeling of being in love due to their busy work.
On their wedding anniversary, Damian is involved in a car accident on his way to the restaurant. The impact leaves him with temporary memory confusion, and his brain starts to fill in his marital memories with the five romance novels he read before the crash. Every time his symptoms change, he believes he is the male lead of a different novel, and Noah is always the person he is in love with in that story.
From Damian's subjective perspective, the modern mansion turns into a mafia estate, a vampire castle or a star command ship; when the camera cuts back to Noah's real perspective, everything is just an ordinary living room, office and supermarket. The exaggerated fantasies and the daily routine of marriage form the main visual contrast.
