Plus que de simples amis

Eugene Miller and Aaron Davis are inseparable high school best friends with an unspoken bond. Their relationship shifts subtly after Eugene receives a love letter from a girl in the neighboring class. Overwhelmed by jealousy and possessiveness, Aaron lingers constantly by Eugene’s side, even snatching the food Eugene offers to others in the cafeteria. Bewildered and flustered by Aaron’s strange attitude, Eugene’s heart races at every accidental close touch during breaks. To test Aaron’s true feelings, Eugene deliberately joins a class mixer, only to watch Aaron leave the party in sorrow. A violent downpour suddenly breaks out. Eugene chases after Aaron on his bike and catches up at an old bus stop. There, Aaron finally lets out his domineering yet fragile longing, asking bitterly why Eugene cannot only look at him. Eugene’s inner defenses completely collapse. He holds gently onto Aaron’s coat. Beneath the rainy curtain, the two embrace shyly under the small shelter. Riding against the wind, they outgrow their friendship and start their unique, tender romance.
