Powerful tycoon Alaric is drugged at a gala; waiter Elias comes to his rescue, and the two share a secret encounter. Alaric offers a paid arrangement, which Elias refuses. After a car accident leaves Elias holding evidence of conspiracy, he is forced to become Alaric's assistant, and feelings grow between them. When Alaric's stepmother coerces Elias using his family, he leaves. Two years later, Elias has become an architect and Alaric has consolidated power — they reunite, break through their obstacles together, and find an equal, redemptive love.
