Gabriel Ashborne takes the fall for his fiancée, Victoria Windsor, and serves three years in prison. During his time behind bars, he encounters a life-changing opportunity and becomes the Draconic Lord. After his release, Gabriel plans to use his newfound identity to marry Victoria. However, Victoria, unaware that Gabriel has become the new Lord, forcibly demolishes their wedding house and humiliates Gabriel's mother.
When Gabriel rushes to the scene, he chooses to break off the engagement. At that moment, Serena Farrington's grandfather recognizes him as the Draconic Lord and declares an arranged marriage between Gabriel and Serena.
