Irene, a pureblood vampire maiden of the Vantrow family, yearns for the love of her family. Her mother, Grace, is the current head of the Vantrow family, holding all the clan's power and wealth in her hands.
After Irene uncovers that Belle is Victor's illegitimate daughter, the two conspire to cut out half of Irene's heart and inject her with Blood Venom. They fabricate the lie that Belle donated her heart to save Grace, when in reality, they transplanted Irene's pureblood heart into Grace's body.
