Crushed by despair, she volunteers for a deadly undercover mission deep in the Golden Triangle and fakes her own death. Two years later, she returns as Interpol Commissioner Katherine. Shocked and consumed with remorse, Desmond and Vicente beg for forgiveness when they meet her again. After Addison's collusion with drug cartels is fully exposed, Emilia coldly rejects their repentance, deeming their belated love worthless.
