Emilia, former deputy of the narcotics unit, suffers cruel betrayal from her captain Desmond and fiancé Vicente. Both men favor psychologist Addison, publicly humiliate Emilia and frame her as mentally unstable, planning to sedate and confine her. Crushed by despair, she volunteers for a deadly undercover mission deep in the Golden Triangle and fakes her own death. Two years later, she returns as Interpol Commissioner Katherine. Shocked and consumed with remorse, Desmond and Vicente beg for forgiveness when they meet her again. After Addison's collusion with drug cartels is fully exposed, Emilia coldly rejects their repentance, deeming their belated love worthless. The two men end up in miserable fates, while Emilia stays with her partner to carry on anti-drug missions along the border.
