On the night Hugo Ford gets engaged to his girlfriend of five years, Rae Nash, she ends up blackout drunk at a bar with her first love, Jay Bush. That night, Rae's clueless parents and brother drown in the lake, while an exhausted Hugo barely makes it back to shore.
