Annie Smith is fluent in eight languages, yet she spends three years working as a junior translator at a trading company, earning only $24,000 a year. She hides her true abilities on purpose. But during a critical international negotiation, a mistake by her team leader nearly destroys the entire project. Through an antique left behind by her father and a letter he wrote to her, Annie finds the courage to face her past. Along the way, she also finds love.
